A versatile aesthetic color
Offering a refined aesthetic, this color goes beyond the decorative aspect it can convey. Turquoise guarantees a serene and energizing atmosphere.
There are several shades of turquoise, ranging from pastel shades reminiscent of a turquoise summer sky to the deepest shades of the sea.
These two types of coloring each inspire different benefits in us.
Lighter shades will clearly tend to instill a feeling of space and lightness, while deeper shades playing on intensity will offer sophistication to the room in which this type of shade is applied.
While we're talking about paint, you can also go further by using turquoise textiles like curtains, cushions, or bedding. Similarly, furniture like accent pieces or chairs can also be adorned with turquoise for the more daring.
Our different turquoise shades
Watercolor sky blue:
This is surely the softest turquoise in our color chart, but it remains a must-have.
Delicate, this color is unmistakably reminiscent of sunny summer skies.
Pair it with a wide range of colors like whites, grays or even browns to give a more natural look to this shade.
We particularly recommend it for decorating children's rooms.
Blue Clematis:
This shade is one of the most popular turquoise blues among our customers. Its slightly grayish and greenish tint makes it a sophisticated shade that's very easy to apply.
Moderate, it will be neither too pronounced nor too tender.
Make the most of it by pairing it with off-white.
Playful blue green:
It's all in the title! Blue or green, we'll let you decide what playful blue-green represents to you. We recommend this turquoise shade in the kitchen, especially on a section of wall to energize the space and create a focal point for a specific area of the room.
Tatihou:
Tatihou is a warm turquoise, inspired by the depths of the Pacific. Like the vast majority of turquoise shades, it's safe to use in wet areas, especially bathrooms.
While the Tatihou will be more visually pleasing in small touches, it is even more charismatic when combined with pure white.
What color should you pair with turquoise?
Turquoise shades generally go well with a wide range of colors, whether green or blue.
Of course, neutral tones will be perfect complements to the various shades of turquoise that exist. The color combination can go further with brighter colors like pink or yellow to add dynamism to the room.
Here is our selection of shades suited to turquoise undertones.
An off-white:
In our range, it will be warm white which is best suited to highlighting a turquoise shade.
With its slightly vanilla cream color, it will provide contrast with the depth of a dark turquoise shade or accentuate the brightness of a room accompanied by a softer turquoise.
Atlantic blue:
A true classic, Atlantic blue is a shade that is difficult to dare to wear because of its impressive depth.
Applied alongside a light turquoise like watercolor sky blue the problem no longer exists.
Of course, apply this beautiful blue sparingly so as not to overwhelm the other shade and risk it not being highlighted enough.
Yellow nap in the sun:
Rest and serenity are the key words for this color, which will delight many. Yellow is a positive and sunny color, which is why we suggest pairing it with turquoise.
This shade can be used as a majority or as an accent depending on the type of turquoise you wish to apply.
In which room should you apply turquoise shades?
There's no need to worry about a shade of turquoise: this type of color can be used in almost any room of the house, with special mention for the bathroom and kitchen in deeper tones.
In a living room:
Make a statement by using a deep shade to bring a touch of sophistication to your living room.
Turquoise will be all the more captivating when accompanied by a softer shade, allowing it to be nuanced but also to reveal it better.
The Tatihou is the perfect illustration!
In a room:
We have already introduced you to blue as a shade that has the property of serenity and relaxation.
It is in this hypothesis that we recommend the use of turquoise shades in a bedroom: clematis blue is an excellent alternative.
This observation also applies to children's bedrooms where darker turquoises can be used to bring dynamism to the space.
In a kitchen:
The freshness of green and the density of blue are themes that are very easily combined in a kitchen, so don't deprive yourself of them.
Playful blue-green, for example, gives you the opportunity to play on modernity in your kitchen.
Accompany the painting with turquoise decorative elements to play on nuances and contrasts.
In a bathroom:
If there is one room in the house where turquoise can be used, it is the bathroom: a color that inspires freshness, tranquility but also cleanliness, you will have no trouble applying this color.
This will be even more true with a light, pastel shade, which will have the advantage of not visually restricting the space if your room is too narrow.
